Campanar

The public square reinvented as an inhabited landscape and a cool island.

Urban planning · Valence (26)
Competition · 2026

In Valence, this project reinvents the public square as a true inhabited landscape, where nature, uses and heritage compose a new neighbourhood heart.

A generous planting grid, permeable surfaces and shaded areas turn the site into a cool island, while leaving room for terraces, events and everyday uses.

Calmed mobility, gardens, shops and meeting places shape an inclusive and adaptable place, able to adjust to the rhythms of the city and to climate challenges.

An approach to public space that combines resilience, quality of use and urban identity to make town centres more lively, desirable and sustainable.
